in a fashionable restaurant, secretly filming an illicit meeting between two businessmen

'pounding the streets', making enquiries, tracing a missing person or knocking on a front door to serve a Claim Form

attending the scene of an earlier road accident, taking measurements and photographs, making a sketch plan and interviewing witnesses on behalf of an insurance company
There are of course, many types of investigations that are undertaken for private clients, lawyers and companies, some involving travelling and working abroad.
