BECOME AN PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR

The Second Oldest Profession

Private Investigators in one form or another have probably been in existence since the time of Adam and Eve. In fact, you could say that it is the second oldest profession! Since the time of man’s creation he has had a natural curiosity to know what his fellow man was up to!

Previously, Little Opportunity For Training

Traditionally, for a you to join the Private Investigation profession, it has been a case of finding an agency that would take you on as an “apprentice”. Historically, as most agencies comprise of one or two man businesses, job opportunities for the beginner are somewhat limited.

“Know Nothing Green-Horns”

Many small agencies have neither the time or inclination to train “know nothing green-horns”, let alone pay a liveable wage. If you were able to persuade such an agency to take you on, you would probably be employed for menial tasks or as a general run-around. Even the most dedicated apprentice would take years to achieve any standard of proficiency.

The NIG Franchise Is Your Doorway To a New And Exciting Career

With the Nationwide Investigation Franchise now being available to all, a unique opportunity has been created for the beginner to be able to confidently enter the profession as both a qualified professional investigator and an independent business person running your own successful private investigation agency.

The Professional Private Investigator

Although the image many people have of the Private Investigator, gained from over-glamorised films, TV and books, is untrue, the job is still very interesting and can often be exciting.

No Two Days Are Ever The Same

On any given day you could be:

  • in your car on a surveillance of suspects involved in the theft of goods or equipment

  • in a fashionable restaurant, secretly filming an illicit meeting between two businessmen

  • 'pounding the streets', making enquiries, tracing a missing person or knocking on a front door to serve a Claim Form

  • attending the scene of an earlier road accident, taking measurements and photographs, making a sketch plan and interviewing witnesses on behalf of an insurance company

There are of course, many types of investigations that are undertaken for private clients, lawyers and companies, some involving travelling and working abroad.

The True Professional

As well as being a self-motivated, competent and thorough Private Investigator, the mark of the true professional is having the ability to successfully deal with people from all walks of life, whether as clients or subjects of enquiry.
